Staff Changes
Dr Peter Cole left the practice on Friday 7th October 2011. We want to thank Dr Cole for all of his hard work during his time at Torkard Hill Medical Centre.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Alex Brodie joined the practice on Monday 10th October 2011.

NEW Patient Participation Group
Torkard Hill Medical Centre is forming a Patient Participation Group. We are encouraging patients to give their views about the practice.

Flu Clinics 2011
We are now taking bookings for our flu vaccination clinics. We will be open on Saturday 24th September & Saturday 8th October. Please make your appointment by telephoning 0115 963 3676.

The seasonal flu vaccine is offered to all those aged over 65 years of age and all those aged over 6 months in a clinical risk group:

• Chronic Respiratory Disease

• Asthma

• Chronic Heart Disease

• Chronic Kidney Disease

• Carers

• Pregnant Women (any stage of pregnancy)

• Chronic Neurological Disease

• Diabetes

• Chronic Liver Disease

• Low immunity

Ask your nurse or GP if you are not sure whether you should have one.

AUGUST 2011

Welcome
Dr Ramiya Kirupananthan joined the practice on 3rd August 2011 as a F2 trainee. Dr Kirupananthan will be with us for four months.
Dr Claire Schofield joined the practice 3rd August 2011 as a GP Registrar. Dr Schofield will be with us for four months.

Farewell
Dr Andrew Wilkinson completed his training period with the practice on 2nd August 2011.

Torkard Hill Medical Centre will be closed on Monday 29th August 2011.
